California District Court Order Releasing Metropolitan State Hospital From DOJ Oversight But Continuing Oversight At Napa State Hospital

October 9, 2012
On October 9, 2012, the California District Court released a court order releasing Metropolitan State Hospital from the U.S. Department of Justice oversight. The court ordered that oversight continue at Napa State Hospital. The court also ordered that Napa State Hospital amend policies to prohibit all use of prone restraints, prone containments, and prone stabilizations.
