English National Health Service General Practitioner Contract, Enhanced Service Specifications: Dementia Identification Scheme
On October 1, 2014, the English National Health Service (NHS) launched new six-month dementia diagnosis initiative to pay general practitioners (GPs) about $90 (£55 ) for every patient they diagnose with dementia. The pay-for-diagnosis initiative runs through March 31, 2015. The goal is to reward GPs for improving patient care and early diagnosis of dementia in primary care.
