Creating, Maintaining, & Using a Data Warehouse: The Allegheny County (PA) Case Study

Pennsylvanias Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) released a case study outlining the goals, organization, composition, sources and systems of its data warehouse, which was built in April 2001. The study concluded that the data warehouse helped to serve clients holistically, by tracking which systems they have entered and exited throughout their lives if they were served by multiple DHS program offices.
