Illinois Medicaid Redetermination Project, Third Quarter Report
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) launched the Enhanced Eligibility Verification Project, as part of the Illinois Medicaid Redetermination Project (IMRP), to clear a several-year backlog of annual eligibility redeterminations and to comply with a 2012 legislative mandate to improve its processes to ensure that eligibility for Medicaid benefits is verified on an annual basis. The state is in the process of moving all Medicaid beneficiaries from fee-for-service into managed care. This document presents project statistics from January to September 2013.
