Behavioral and Social Science Foundations For Future Physicians
November 1, 2011 The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) released their Report of the Behavioral and Social Science Expert Panel in November 2011 outlining three methods of contextualizing learning outcomes in the behavioral and social sciences. AAMC also provides a Behavioral and Social Science Matrix arraying applicable physician roles and behavioral and social science domains that can be used in the under¬graduate medical education program to guide student learning, as well as in practice settings to enrich clinician decision-making and physician-patient interactions.
