On November 4, 2022, the U.S. Centers for disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published this clinical practice guideline for prescribing opioids for pain. This guideline provides recommendations for clinicians providing pain care, including those prescribing opioids, for outpatients aged ≥18 years.
