Investing in the Future: 2008 National Advisory Mental Health Council Workgroup on Research Training

November, 2008 This report seeks to provide recommendations that will enable the NIMH to develop a future research workforce that is equipped with the cutting-edge knowledge, skills, and perspectives that will facilitate their contributions to the research mission of the NIMH. The workgroup submits these recommendations in the hope that developing an even stronger scientific workforce will increase the rate of innovative discoveries that will lead to improvements in the lives of those affected by mental illness ad ultimately cures for these illnesses . . .
