October 30, 2008 The complaint makes the following allegations against Extendicare, a senior housing provider: Extendicare violates the Minnesota Prevention of Consumer Fraud Act by using false and deceptive advertising to misrepresent itself to prospective residents.   Extendicare uses a Green Flag admissions policy which does not take into account the facility's ability to meet prospective residents care needs.   Extendicare mandates that residents sign a contract which limits the company's liability in the event of personal injury or loss of personal property. Minnesota law expressly forbids contracts that include such a waiver . . .
