Program Review of the Medicaid Reform Pilot Project
September 2007 The Florida Office of the Inspector General conducted a review of the Medicaid Reform Pilot Project, currently in effect in five Florida counties. The report found that the plan still needs time to improve as many issues still exist. Some continuing problem areas include: Limited access to specialists  Financial strain on Florida's County Health Departments  Inadequate staffing levels for the the Agency for Health Care Administration Data not available to assess cost-effectiveness of new reforms  Lack of proper communication and information sharing across organizations . . .
