VA GPD Special Needs Grants November 2013

November 12, 2013 On November 12, 2013, the federal Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced it had awarded $13.7 million in grant funds for 189 projects serving homeless veterans in 37 states. The grants are through the VAÂ’s Homeless Providers Grant Program and the linked Per Diem Program that fund community agencies helping homeless veterans receive supportive housing for residential stability, increased skills and income, and greater self- determination. About $4.9 million in special needs grants was awarded to provider organizations for 25 projects in 11 states that serve special veteran populations; 16 of the projects serve . . .
