October 19, 2006 Offender Relocating/Housing Agreement Between State of California & Corrections Corporation of America To relieve severe prison overcrowding and improve the level of health care provided to inmates, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) entered into a contract with Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) to house adult male inmates in out-of-state facilities.
