The Work Option for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities: The Obstacles and the Possibilities

In November 2012, University Legal Services (ULS) conducted research on the laws and policies for those with intellectual disabilities. ULS visited many employment programs for individuals with disabilities and met with several leaders from the Department on Disability Services (DDS). The ULS used their findings to create a fictional character that illustrated the obstacles and barriers that can hinder the ability of those with intellectual disabilities to find employment.
