Parliamentary Briefing: We Need To Talk: Access To Psychological Therapies
The We Need to Talk coalition in the United Kingdom released the report to call on the Parliament to improve access to mental health treatment. The report is based on survey responses from over 1,600 people who have tried between 2011 and 2013 to access talking therapies such as counseling and cognitive behavior therapy through the National Health Service (NHS). The survey evaluates access to services related to the 2007 NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) program, now known as “Talking Therapies.”
