The report was released on November 17, 2020 by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The GAO was asked to examine the labor characteristics of working adult Medicaid enrollees and adults receiving benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). For this report, the GAO analyzed Census Bureau data on the labor characteristics of working adults enrolled in Medicaid and/or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). GAO also analyzed non-generalizable data from February 2020 on the employers of working adult Medicaid enrollees and SNAP recipients obtained from 15 state agencies across 11 states . . .
