Community Mental Health Services Improvement Act (S. 2182)
October 17, 2007 This bill, introduced by U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Gordon Smith, calls for increased funding for community-based care so that community-based mental health organizations can provide comprehensive primary care and specialty mental health services in one setting. The bill also provides grants to integrate treatment for individuals with a serious mental illness and co-occurring addition disorders.
