Chapin Hall Monitoring Report on Community Based Care in Broward, Dade, & Monroe Counties

September 2007 Chapin Hall Center for Children, in cooperation with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and community based care agencies ChildNet, Inc. and Our Kids, Inc, released a monitoring report to determine the quality of services provided by Our Kids, Inc. and ChildNet in their communities. The monitoring report found the following deficiencies: Youth in the child welfare system in Broward, Dade, and Monroe counties of Florida changed placements during their first six months in care Only 50% of children in these areas visited a dentist.
