The Fiscal Survey of States, Spring 2007
June 2007 The National Governors Association and the National Association of State Budget Officers conducted the first of their biannual fiscal survey of states. The survey presents aggregate and individual data on the states general fund receipts, expenditures and balances. Although not the totality of state spending, these general funds are used to determine the fiscal health of the states. The data reflects fiscal year 2006, estimated figures for 2007, and recommendations for 2008.
