Alabama State Plan Amendment 23-009: Mobile Crisis Services

On November 20, 2023, the Alabama Medicaid Agency published this state plan amendment (SPA) 23-009 regarding mobile crisis services. This amendment will allow mobile crisis services to be offered throughout the state. The Alabama Department of Mental Health will be offering these emergency crisis services in order to help reduce unnecessary Emergency Room visits and/or arrests for individuals in mental health or drug-related crisis . . .
