November 25, 2013 The Long-Term Uninsured in America, 2008-2011 (Selected Intervals): Estimates For The U.S. Civilian Non-Institutionalized Population under Age 65 (MEPS Statistical Brief No. 424) According to the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, Household Component for 2010 and 2011, 31.5% (84.5 million people) of the under-65 population was uninsured for at least one month during the two-year period (calendar years 2010 and 2011).
