In December 2013, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) released a bulletin that is part of a series that presents the results of the Northwestern Juvenile Project--a longitudinal study of youth detained at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center in Chicago, IL. The authors present the results of their examination of youthÂ’s functional impairment as assessed three (3) years after their release from detention.
