Employer-Reported Workplace Injuries And Illnesses 2013
In December 2014, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) within the Department of Labor reported that during 2013 there were about 3.0 million non-fatal workplace injuries (94%) and illnesses (6%); an incidence rate of 3.3 injuries per 100 full-time equivalent workers. About 75% of workplace injuries occurred in service-providing industries. The remaining 25% occurred in goods-producing industries.
