The report was released by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in December 2014. The report is based on a review of state legislature websites and a survey of state NAMI leaders regarding their policy priorities in the 2014 state legislative sessions. The survey topics included the status of the state mental health authority budget, changes to Medicaid and legislation supported or opposed by NAMI state organizations and NAMI affiliates.
