Ohio Findings and Observations State Employment Leadership Network on Employment for Individuals With Disabilities

December 12, 2011 The review of Ohio's current system of employment supports for individuals with developmental disabilities was conducted by the State Employment Leadership Network (SELN) at the request of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) in preparation for implementing an employment-first policy. The new policy goes into effect in July 2012. The SELN reviewed barriers to employment-first posed by current policies, funding, and practices.
