In December 2012, The U.S. Attorney General's Office released a report by its commissioned task force commissioned on children exposed to violence. The findings and recommendations of the task force are organized into six chapters. The first chapter provides an overview of the problem and sets forth 10 foundational recommendations. The next two chapters addresses recommendations to ensure reliable identification, screening, and assessment of all children exposed to violence and thereafter give them support, treatment, and other services designed to address their needs.
