Analysis of Community Care of North Carolina Cost Savings Due to Medicaid Medical Homes
December 15, 2011 The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services engaged a health care consulting firm-Milliman, to analyze Medicaid cost-savings achieved by the Community Care of North Carolina (CCNC). A report released by Milliman indicates that CCNC reduced North Carolina Medicaid costs through care management activities as seen mainly in hospital and emergency room costs.
