On January 16, 2014, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will implement new regulations that expand benefits for veterans who experienced a service-related traumatic brain injury (TBI) who also have ParkinsonÂ’s disease, certain types of dementia, depression, unprovoked seizures, or certain diseases of the hypothalamus and pituitary glands.
