Ruling From The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Freudeman v. Landing of Canton

On December 19, 2012 the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld a decision finding that an an Ohio assisted living facility was responsible for the death of a residence due to negligence in the management of medication within the facility. The assisted living facility, Landing of Canton, had appealed the courtÂ’s original decision in Freudeman v. Landing of Canton, which found them negligent in the care of resident Dorothy V. Freudeman.
