A Preliminary Report & Recommendations of the Commonwealth of Virginia Commission on Mental Health Law Reform
December 21, 2007 This report outlines the results of three major studies conducted by the Supreme Court of Virginia's Commission on Mental Health Law Reform. It also makes recommendations for the 2008 session of the Virginia General Assembly. The Commission is concerned with addressing gaps in access to services, involuntary civil commitment, empowerment and self-determination, special needs of children and adolescents, and intersections between the mental health and criminal justice systems.
