CalAIM Enhanced Care Management & Community Supports – Early Implementation Fact Sheet

The report was released by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) on December 22, 2022. DHCS presented the status of county and payer implementation of two new initiatives under the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Medicaid waiver. The new initiatives are CalAIM Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports (in-lieu of services). For both new initiatives, the report presents implementation in the first and second quarters of 2022, the number of provider organizations, the number of payers, and the number of beneficiaries accessing the services.
