Letter From Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels to the Department of Health and Human Services, Regarding the Medicaid Provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

December 28, 2011 On December 28, 2011, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels released a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services regarding the Medicaid provisions to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Indiana requested that the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), which insures low-income adult Hoosiers, be renewed and serve as the vehicle for Medicaid expansion in 2014.
