New Hampshire DHHS Application for Medicaid Balancing Incentives Payment Project
December 30, 2011 On March 1, 2012, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded the first Medicaid Balancing Incentives Payment Program grant to New Hampshire to expand home- and community-based services (HCBS) for long-term care. The $26.5 million, three-year grant will help the state reduce its reliance on institutional long-term care by increasing availability of HCBS for older adults and people with disabilities.
