Alabama Medicaid Transformation

The State of Alabama Medicaid Agency (AMA) is seeking approval of a Section 1115 Demonstration Project to implement our version of CMS accountable care organizations, regional care organizations (RCOs), to improve care coordination and outcomes and ensure the long-term sustainability of Alabama’s Medicaid program. This new approach to care will also further develop the use of health homes, a second CMS program priority.
