On December 10, 2021, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) released the document "Behavioral Health & COVID-19: Higher-Risk Populations & Related Federal Relief Funding." GAO conducted 32 interviews with federal, state, and other stakeholders, and a review of selected research, GAO found that certain populations may be at higher risk of new behavioral health symptoms or conditions related to the pandemic.
