Children With Special Educational And Complex Needs: Guidance For Health And Wellbeing Boards
In September 2014, the British Leed's Department of Health issued a guidance document prepared by itsĀ Disabled and Ill Child Services Team on how Health and Wellbeing Boards (HWBs) can support the local National Health Service (NHS), social services, and schools and colleges as they support the needs of children with complex and special educational needs including those with acute illness or injury. Included in theĀ guidance document are discussions of services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) andĀ a Children and Young Peopleās Health Benchmarking Tool.
