CMS & Michigan Medicaid Memorandum Of Understanding For Dual Eligible Financial Alignment Demonstration

On April 3, 2014, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Michigan Department of Community Health (DCH) announced they had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding MI Health Link, the state’s initiative to improve care for Medicare-Medicaid enrollees. The Michigan demonstration will operate in four regions: the Upper Peninsula, Southwest Michigan, and two regions in the metropolitan Detroit area. For the three-year demonstration slated to launch in January 2015, dual eligibles will be enrolled in health plans called Integrated Care Organizations (ICOs) that will manage Medicare and Medicaid acute and primary care, pharmacy . . .
