Michigan Child Welfare Performance Based Funding: Final Report

In February 2014, the Alliance for Children and Families Engagement Team for the Michigan Department of Human Services and Child Welfare Performance Based Funding Task Force released its final report. The report was legislatively mandated to review the feasibility of establishing performance-based funding for all public and private child welfare services providers. The task force concluded that a performance based funding system for Michigan is feasible and should proceed. The report describes the pathway necessary for development and implementation of a performance based system that incorporates balanced and equitable participation by the public and private sectors . . .
