New Mexico Executive Order 2014 – 002 Directing The Children, Youth and Families Department To Develop A Pilot Family Support Program

On April 3, 2014, the state of New Mexico issued an executive order directing the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) to develop policies and procedures for implementation of a mandatory collaborative case review in any instance where a household has two abuse and neglect referrals and is referred a third time to the Protective Services Division. The order also directs CYFD to develop and implement a Family Support Worker pilot program in Bernalillo County; and to advocate for legislation to allow a court to order certain families with at-risk children still in the home to participate . . .
