Partnering With FQHCs
Behavioral health organizations talk about their experiences partnering with an FQHC to provide co-located care as part of the SAMHSA grant program, Primary Care and Behavioral Health Initiative. In Virginia, three organizations; the Arlington Community Service Board, the Alexandria Community Service Board, and Neighborhood Health partnered to create the program, A New Lease on Life. Through the program, Neighborhood Health, the FQHC, provides a family medical practitioner, a nurse coordinator, and a medical assistant at the community service boards.
