In September 2012, the National Center for Veterans Analysis and Statistics released a brief profiling sheltered homeless veterans. This brief uses data from the 2009 and 2010 Annual Homeless Assessment Reports (AHAR) to Congress. The reports were sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
