The Road To Safety For Our Children: Final Report Of The Los Angeles County Blue Ribbon Commission On Child Protection

On April 18, 2014, the Los Angeles County Blue Ribbon Commission on Child Protection released its final report on the county's child protection system. The Commission was formed following the highly publicized death of a child involved with the county Department of Children and Family Services. The Commission was  charged with reviewing child protection failures; highlighting organizational barriers to child-safety; and providing the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors with recommendations for a feasible plan of action to expeditiously implement needed reforms.
