Transforming Louisiana’s Long Term Care Supports and Services System: Populations Concept Paper
In January 2014, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals released a concept paper on the ongoing transformation of Louisiana’s long-term supports and services system into a Managed Long Term Supports and Services (MLTSS) system. The concept paper focuses on four primary, and sometimes overlapping, population groups currently “carved out” of Bayou Health. They are specifically: 1) People eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare (dual eligible); 2) People with Developmental Disabilities who are receiving ICF/DD or HCBS Waiver services; 3) People with Adult Onset and Aging-Related Disabilities who are receiving nursing home or HCBS waiver services . . .
