It directs all San Francisco city/county government departments to prepare to adopt an expanded approach to Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act Mental Health Conservatorship to include individuals with a grave disability due to chronic addiction disorder. Individuals in LPS conservatorship can be involuntarily committed to receive mental health and/or addiction treatment.
