Rock Prairie Behavioral Health has announced it will permanently close its facility in College Station, Texas. According to Interim Chief Executive Officer James Wilfer, the closure will happen in the upcoming months and the facility has already stopped admitting new consumers.

The hospital’s closure is expected to have a significant impact on mental health services that are already stretched thin across the Brazos Valley. The closure is a result of declined census and continued loss of revenues.
