Briana Duffy brings more than 30 years of experience leading transformation within the behavioral health and social services industry to the OPEN MINDS team. She is a decisive strategist and influential team member skilled at building organizations aimed at unlocking stakeholder value and achieving scalable growth.
Previously, Ms. Duffy was the National Market President at Carelon Behavioral Health, a leading behavioral healthcare company that provides a wide range of services focused on mental health and substance use treatment. In this role, she managed $1.75 billion budget and served 40 million members across federal, state, and employer health plans. She also served commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business under Risk and ASO financial arrangements.
Prior to her role as National Market President, Ms. Duffy was the Market President West, when Carelon was still Beacon Health Options. In this position, Ms. Duffy was a key transition team member through the Anthem acquisition of Beacon Health Options. She managed an $800 million budget, serving states, health plans, and IPA organizational customers. She led sales and business development, growing regional revenue by 25%.
Ms. Duffy was also a Crisis Services Manager for Beacon Health Options. In this role, she initiated and led the establishment of a formal Crisis Services product, generated a comprehensive business and go-to-market plan. Ms. Duffy created evidence-based crisis training materials and launched a learning development series for internal and external stakeholders.
Before her role as Crisis Services Manager, Ms. Duffy was the Regional Senior Vice President and Chief Partnership Officer at Beacon Health Options. Here, she led the regional sales activity and account management team in the eastern half of the country. She was later asked to relocate to the western region to replicate her success and grow the company footprint through organic growth and targeted acquisitions.
Ms. Duffy earned her Master of Business Administration from Cambridge College.
