Damon Braly brings over 30 years of experience in health care strategic marketing to the OPEN MINDS team. He has delivered consulting services to more than 100 health IT companies. His expertise includes strategy and messaging, content development, media relations, and digital marketing.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Mr. Braly served as Healthcare and Life Sciences Marketing Director – Content Strategy for Pure Storage. He was responsible for marketing strategy targeting payers, providers, and life sciences organizations. To achieve this, he developed branding, messaging, go-to-market strategies, analyzed market trends and competitor offerings, and created integrated marketing campaigns. He also set the digital content strategy for social media, blog, web, videos, newsletters, presentations, brochures, and data sheets, and created editorial calendars. In addition, he supported marketing and sales through management of social media platforms, creation of sales presentations, sales materials, and conducting of sales training.
Before this role, Mr. Braly founded and was President of Vivid Ideas, Inc, a full-service health IT public relations and marketing communications agency. He provided executive leadership to build business-to-business (B2B) marketing programs, enhance existing programs, and execute strategies that delivered tangible results. This included developing marketing strategies, communications, social media and other content, marketing collateral and web design, and lead generation for payers and health arms of other organizations.
Mr. Braly has also served as a fractional Chief Marketing Officer for health tech companies. His consultative work has focused on EHRs, revenue cycle management (RCM), AI, population health, member engagement, value-based care, Medicare and Medicaid, and related cloud and software as a service (SaaS) data-driven care solutions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Braly also served as Editor at Health Management Technology Magazine and Health Industry Today.
Mr. Braly has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Pepperdine University.
