Danielle Byron, PMP, is a healthcare information technology leader possessing expertise in all facets of IT Management. Her extensive knowledge is evidenced by her career success, achieved through a consistent track record of delivering strategic business objectives in a timely manner and with a seamless operational transition – always in support of enterprise goals.
Ms. Byron is currently the Senior Project Manager at Molina Healthcare of Illinois. In this role, she is leading efforts to implement Medicaid Managed Care in Illinois. She also leads projects to improve the organization’s child & adolescent crisis services, substance abuse, billing, and transportation services for members and providers.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Byron served as the CIO/VP of Information Systems for Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4). In this role, she led the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, which resulted in more stable and effective operations within the new managed/accountable care environments. Ms. Byron also modernized the organization’s technology infrastructure from desktop to back-end servers, resulting in vastly improved stability and speed for the end-user. She managed the organization’s IT environment and was responsible for the operations of the EMR. Ms. Byron improved the organization’s revenue cycle management operations, which increased collections by at least $500K (5%) annually. She also piloted four different Accountable Care Organization (ACO) models resulting in a diversification of revenue streams.
Ms. Byron previously served many roles at The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, including Director Application Development, Director Technical Services, Manager Information Resources, and Database Administrator.
Ms. Byron received her Master of Science in Information Systems from DePaul University and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University.
