Biography

Erin Palmer brings over 9 years of experience in marketing and non-profit event and program development to the OPEN MINDS team.

Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Palmer was the Events Director for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. In this role, Ms. Palmer led strategic planning and execution of high-impact fundraising events and oversaw budgets to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising the quality and content of the events. She collaborated with various teams to align event goals with organizational objectives, including sponsorship benefits and marketing strategies. She also assisted in the implementation of a new event management software to allow for increased internal control of events and increased revenue growth.

Before this role, Ms. Palmer served as Development Coordinator of Events for the Audubon Nature Institute. In this role Ms. Palmer assisted with the fundraising and execution of member and donor events. She led print marketing and e-communications with the creative team through the design process. She also served as liaison to various internal departments for facilitating event functions.

Previously, Ms. Palmer was Development Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) where she oversaw the chapter’s financial activity and spending . She organized development efforts for the JDRF Louisiana One Walks and One Hope Gala and was responsible for volunteer recruitment and retention, as well as managing all social media accounts.

Ms. Palmer earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Southeastern Louisiana University.
