Biography

Jane E. Hyde brings more than 24 years of experience to the OPEN MINDS team as a Senior Associate. Ms. Hyde has extensive experience in operations, leadership development, program design, process improvement, human resource and talent management, system strategic and facility planning, medical staff relations, and creating patient and family experiences with an understanding of communication analysis and training. 

Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Hyde served in several roles for Wellspan Health, including Interim Regional Senior Vice President of the West Division. In this role, she was the key strategic leader of three hospitals totaling 425 beds with a budgeted revenue exceeding $950 million, and of multiple outpatient facilities in three counties. Prior to that, Ms. Hyde was the Senior Vice President / Chief Experience Officer where she led a transformation of culture, staff training, and strategy leading to a more consumer-focused organization. 

Before this, she served as the Senior Vice President of WellSpan in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. There, she oversaw the clinical and daily operations of an 80-bed community hospital with over 1,000 employees. She assured top quality and safe care while addressing needed growth, new program development, and community needs. She was responsible for strategic and financial goals with a budget revenue in the $350 million dollar range. Prior to that, Ms. Hyde was the Interim President, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital where she was responsible for a revenue budget exceeding $210 million annually.

Previously, Ms. Hyde also held several roles at Agnesian Healthcare (AHC). She was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and Community Affairs. In this role, she oversaw the management of the system’s strategic planning, business development, marketing and communications, and system human resource and talent management. She ran operations management for 17 system departments with budgets exceeding $63 million, 325 indirect reports, and 25 direct reports. She reported to the system CEO and interfaced with individual ministry executives, boards, and physician leadership. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Community Affairs, championing the execution of an AHC brand and image plan and improving community perception with AHC as top of mind in community perception studies. Ms. Hyde established Samaritan Health Clinic medication formulary and medication assistance service resulting in a reduction of medication costs by $500,000 and delivery of more than $1.3 million of medication assistance to those in need at no cost to the system.

Ms. Hyde received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication / English studies from Lock Haven University. She received her Master Education degree in English studies from Bloomsburg University. She received her Masters of Public Administration (MPA), and Healthcare / Human Resource Certificate from Marywood University. She received her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Marian University.
