Joni Blymire brings over 20 years of visual communications and graphic design experience to the OPEN MINDS team. Throughout her career, Ms. Blymire has completed projects in numerous organizations including healthcare, non-profit associations, and a variety of other companies throughout the country. Her areas of expertise include creative communications planning, marketing, advertising, graphic design, publication production, and photography.

Ms. Blymire has an extensive career in creative communications and most recently has served as a Freelance Graphic Designer for over 12 years; creating advertising and marketing campaign materials, collateral layouts and design, and graphic design components for client projects across the country.

Prior to providing independent freelance services, Ms. Blymire served as the Art Director & Graphic Designer for Penn State Hershey Medical Center, College of Medicine, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In this role, she created advertising plans and layouts, marketing collateral material, and visual graphics for assigned projects at the hospital.

Previously, Ms. Blymire served as an Art Director for PPO&S, Inc., an integrated marketing communications firm, based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, she created advertising layouts, collateral material, and visual graphics for assigned accounts from concept to print. In this role, she directed custom-design solutions for client brand support including every advertising channel from digital and print to video and displays.

Ms. Blymire previously spent four years as the Director of Creative Services for Graphcom Inc. located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In this role she was responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating the design, production, printing, and implementation of collateral materials from concept to print for all creative projects.

In addition, Ms. Blymire served as an Art Director for Griffith & Coe Advertising, Inc., and as a Graphic Designer for BonTon Department Store.

Ms. Blymire earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and subsequently earned an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design & Visual Communications from the Bradley Academy For The Visual Arts in York, Pennsylvania.
