Josue Santoyo brings a strong background in finance and human resource management to the OPEN MINDS team. He has served in multiple capacities at OPEN MINDS over the last decade, including Vice President of Accounting and Administration where he was responsible for all corporate finance, accounting, and human resource functions.
Currently, Mr. Santoyo is a Senior Associate working with clients on engagements focused on financial sustainability. In this role, he has developed feasibility analyses for the evaluation of new business ventures, served in interim CFO and Controller capacity, and restructured the processes and technical finance infrastructure allowing client(s) to conduct ongoing evaluations of service lines.
In his previous role as Vice President of Accounting & Administration, he led the evaluation, procurement, and implementation of a new HRIS, and new benefit offerings. He also led the transition of banking services to a new financial institution enhancing internal controls.
Prior to this, Mr. Santoyo was Accounting Manager for OPEN MINDS, where he managed the full cycle accounting process including accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly closing, and payroll. Mr. Santoyo also played an important role in developing the yearly corporate budget.
Before joining OPEN MINDS full-time, Mr. Santoyo served as a Financial Management Intern with OPEN MINDS, where he was responsible for supporting the finance team with administrative support.
Previously, Mr. Santoyo served as a tax accounting intern with a local certified public accounting firm, Reinsel, Kuntz Lesher, located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He also served a term as Treasurer for HGAC, a local nonprofit organization.
Mr. Santoyo received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, majoring in Accounting and Finance. Mr. Santoyo is also bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.
